Blackboards

ok, so I am trying to get a decent stash of craft items done for when i can finally get to some craft markets and set up a stall.  Its taking a little longer then I wanted due to illness but am getting there.  Just have to hone a few things and get more productive.

I made some cute (well I think they are cute) blackboards yesterday.  I used a vinyl blackboard application and mounted it to two different type frames.  One is a white wooden frame with the added bonus that I am also including perspex so the frame can be used for a photo frame further down the track.  The other is  a raw finish frame in wood as well. Both of these are in my madeit store for sale.  What do you think?  Comments really appreciated.  If you want to look at the other things in the store they are at www.madeit.com/alphabotts.

Have a great week end, I am going to try and get some cards and things done.  I also have some pooh bear magnets for sale that I need to get photographed and up as well, they are really sweet and will hold those precious pics on the fridge that come home from day care and preschool.

Great Sunday morning in the Nations Capital.  Not much planned for today except to watch my beloved Rabbitohs take to the field at 2pm.

Hope your having a great day.

It's been a while

So I have not been on for a while and posted any updates.  Been in a bit of a funk.  But hopefully things have turned and I am back.

Haven't done nay new cards or tee's but did try my hand at making some nice magnets and when I photo them I will post.  As always they will be for sale on the madeit site.  They are a set of Pooh Bears, sticking with my kids theme I seem to have going.

In other news, our beloved cat Horri went missing last Friday night 14th May.  We have tried in all his usual hangouts, put up posters, message son websites, the RSPCA and the Vets etc and no sign of him.  We are not sure why and how but it is very upsetting to loose him and not know where he went or why.   We have one more  thing we are waiting to hear on this Monday as we have a  call in to TAMs who did scoop up a  cat matching Horri in some ways last Saturday but the man is away til Monday so we can't talk to him till then.  We are hoping its not Horri and that he has just gone on a holiday and will be home soon.  He is missed very much.  The house is soooooo quiet without him.

That's all for now, might try and do some cards today or some other craft projects I have in mind.  If your reading this, have a great  Saturday and please leave a comment if you can on the blog, that would be great.

Cheers, Wend

Wendy's big day out

so I told Jeff through the week that I really needed to get out of the house today for the day or go mad,  He didn't know where to take me but it didn't need to be too special or expensive etc, I just really wanted a drive in the sun. So we headed off this morning, stopped firstly at my favourite scrap store and then headed to Bungendore of all places.  However it was great,  We spent some time in the antique shop that is on a 1/4 acre and they had the most wonderful things, it was so worth the browse.

We then headed down the street to the woodwork shop and gasped and awed at the very expensive items but they are so beautiful,

Coffee time was calling me so we headed to the cafe adjoining the woodwork place and sat in this very sheltered outdoor area that only Jeff and I were in as there was just the one table.  It was so protected from any wind and the sun was wonderful.  Jeff had a great looking sandwich and I wanted scones but they were apricot which didn't appeal so had these amazing pancakes covered in berries and fresh fruit.  My goodness they were nice and I couldn't finish them.  The coffee was fantastic and am sure Jeff's cold drink hit the spot.

Next we walked but up to this little gift shop and had a good browse and stopped from spending any money.  A short drive and we went to the Summit gift shop and stamp place as I wanted to stock up on cards but they don't do the stamping and cards any more so that was disappointing.

Was starting to get tired but we ended up going for a drive through to Gundaroo and then on our way home we went for a sticky beak at Gooloabri.....I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and could have saved my petrol.

So home for a rest, Jeff did some house things and got dinner and I posted the cards that I made during the week.

Am a very tired but happy girl for once.  Tomorrow we have mother in laws day so family lunch for us...hope my energy comes back

Here are a couple of the cards I posted. Check them out at www.madeit.com.au/alphabotts if you want to see the others,  they are my Jemima Puddle duck range.

Lost Week

ok, so its been a week or so since I posted and the main reason is cause I don't have anything to say.  Stopped rehab for the week and don't go back till next Friday.  Found I was not coping and needed a break till I felt a little better.

Have made some new cards and just waiting to put in the inserts and then get them up on the site for sale.  Tried some vintage recycled books to use as the picture and they came out ok, the pics are Jemima Puddle duck...very cute.

Am not sure I am liking this invalidity retirement, find the days go and nothing gets done and it does get a little depressing.  Am sure things will get better and am sick of being told it takes time.  However there has to be an upside to not working...right, no early morning drives to work in fog and rain, the house is nice and warm by the Central heating by the time I get up.  Lunch and breakfast are when I want them not when the clock says its time.

Hope all the mothers and grandmothers have a happy Sunday, will be thinking of my mum and spending it with my mum in law, and maybe our cat and goldfish will surprise me with a gift ...:-)

Cheers
